Frequently asked questions

The questions we are asked most before booking.

Is one day enough for a safari from Arusha?
Yes, for one park. Arusha National Park and Materuni are easy single days; Lake Manyara and Tarangire mean a longer drive but still leave four to five hours in the park. If you want the Serengeti or Ngorongoro, plan at least three days.
Can you collect me from my hotel?
Yes. Pick-up and drop-off anywhere in Arusha is included, and we also collect from Moshi or Kilimanjaro Airport for a small extra charge — just tell us where you are staying.
How much does a day trip from Arusha cost?
From $200 per person for Materuni waterfalls and Chemka hot springs, and from $250 per person for Arusha National Park, Lake Manyara or Tarangire, based on six people sharing a vehicle. Park fees, lunch and water are included.
Which day trip is best if I only do one?
For wildlife with the least driving, Arusha National Park. For big elephant herds, Tarangire. For flamingos and scenery, Lake Manyara. For culture, a waterfall and a swim, Materuni and Chemka.
Can you arrange a day trip at short notice?
Usually yes — message Isaac on WhatsApp and we can often set up a vehicle and guide for the next morning, subject to availability.

Tell us your dates and hotel and Isaac will reply with a written price within 24 hours.
